Hi all,
I've got an 'ultrabook' with ivy bridge core i5 3427u 1.8ghz and have been using intels turbo tech. monitor tool to watch turbo on windows 7 home 64bit.
A couple of times I have seen it...
So its "unix" Open*GL*CL vs. Microsoft DirectX
Not sure how this effects portability, but we might see more openGL ports on the PC?
Yeah Im kind of confused between idle and sleep. I wonder if they mean 12 hours of idle "on screen" time? I.e Best case battery usage scenario
Other tablets still do 'idle tasks' (collect email)...
12 hours idle...uh wha? is idle current a problem? Other tablets can 'idle' for a week plus?
1.6 seconds resume....too slow. Other tablets wake in a split second.
Im not a fan of AMD's TDP>5W...
*yawn* boring. Mini-ITX is soo 2009.
I want smaller form factors to quickly displace the larger, like intels NUC but even smaller....more like the macbook air mainboard, and even the intel...
now you can save moneys on graphics cards. HD4000 is alright you know :)
As alluded to above, wait until you have a wife & kids....then you've got negative time.
I have no time for gaming either. But I dont mind so much. When i did play I tended to enjoy games that...
Yes, but the point isnt that the desktop proc.s only have 1/7th of the discreet cards bandwidth, but that they compromise very little in sharing between the cpu&gpu in actual use. You claimed there...
You're trolling right? because this console isn't using DDR3. AMD designed the memory controller that gave the 7850 153.6 GB/s, so why cant they implement this into this custom core?
Also people...
Are you sure about this? Jaguars design doesn't look much like a compromise, and AMD manages the memory well enough with trinity & llano APU's.
Even using a 1st gen llano-esq solution should be...
Interesting Processor.
I'd like one of these in my pc, but i guess theres no (mainstream) socket that could hold it.
8GB DDR5 for my desktop please :)
Think about is the roadmap for these. It...

Only a few benchmarks, but its about twice as fast (much faster in minimum frames).
While consuming about 33% less energy.
Unless your CPU...
Titan has gone from 2 petaflops to ~17 petaflops. AMD only helped with about 20% of that (if that), the real story here is how nVidias GK110 gave an order of magnitude speedup and provided 80% of the...
Me too, but WTF has it got to do with the new Radeon?
Get the 3225. You'll regret not having all 16EUs. HD4000 can hang with Lano at the right resolution.
I'd love to see this accelerated. Replace all jobs possible with technology, and then only a relative 'few' people in the world even need to work. We can all live like kings & as equals. The smartest...
Ive been thinking about getting some good quality games, still havent played starcraft 2 or diablo 3, but when i read the reviews on metaritic there is a HUGE DISCONNECT between the user reviews and...
Get a macbook air or similar ultrabook? The hd4000 is pretty good for integrated graphics. SSD's make the whole experience much nicer, and ivy bridge is super for mobile computing....
From the slides Olivon is posting I cant see GT3 graphics on ANY desktop processor.
It seems intel thinks only laptops need good 3d performance, desktop space has been ceded to discreet cards for...
Slightly OT,
But can any of you with Windows 8 confirm; Are you able to play your xbox games (off the disc) in windows 8?
I heard this was a feature of win8....but nobody seems to mention it...
Hi,
I listen to some of these via shoutcast from naturemusicdownload.com
Page two has a strong wind CD from wellington.
Page four has a softer wind CD. Wellington has really strong winds...
Oh man whenever Greg83 posts it really makes my day. My 'wacky meter' goes right off the scale.
The odd thing is I actually agree with/believe 90% of his points (in other threads I've seen)....
It makes sense to me. You dont put your crucial infrastructure in disaster prone locations. This is really common sense for an business that wants to be somewhat robust.
Hopefully they put the...
