That's the thing, it's not downclocking. I do have my windows set to high performance and I have minimum state at 10% and max at 100%... Still no scaling. It's behaving as if eist/c states/turbo...
I can't for the life of me get an adaptive overclock going. No matter what I do my clock and voltage stays pinned at the specified core ratio in bios...
What I'm *trying* to achieve is: My cpu...
Seems the conclusion of that thread was user error.
My CPU PLL was so low because my chip really liked it that low. Some others set theirs down to 1.2 and it was better for them there. Some...
Raja,
I noticed in the datasheet for these chips, the "Absolute Maximums" does not include a value for vCore, only Vin to the IVR. Do you have any information on where these chips will start seeing...
And now I'm really chomping at the bit to get my DDR4... Come on Crucial/Newegg...
UCLK speed is the most likely culprit. Performance of the 6c12t gulftowns is impacted heavily by UCLK.
4.5GHz CPU 2166MHz RAM with 3.2GHz UCLK = 86GFlops:...
First, set all timings to that of the 12GB kit in your motherboard. Then put the 12GB kit in the BLACK slots and the 6GB kit in the RED slots like this:...
There's a thread on the hardforum keeping track of the best prices for the 6c12t xeons selling dirt cheap:

best deal so far was X5670's for $175 each....
Ditto. I see no reason to upgrade at all. So happy with this whole rig that I sold my 3930k setup!
vcore and memory voltage detection is off.
BIOS vcore is set to 1.3875v - CPU-Tweaker detects 1.416v - CPUz says 1.382v
BIOS memory is set to 1.575v - CPU-Tweaker detects 1.664v - HWMonitor shows...
You're going to get less performance with 1.5 uncore. significantly less. Thus the 'you need 2x'.
Bhavv,
The way the IMC of Gulftown/Bloomfield works, you need 2x the uncore clockspeed to get full memory bandwidth.
So, at 937MHz memory(1874MHz effective) you need an uncore clockspeed of...
These numbers are rarely accurate. The x58 chipset supports 48GB.
FYI, my S2NSE was able to support larger dimms than ASUS specified. As did my P5N-T deluxe, my M3N, and my U30JC... All ASUS...
Honestly I have no idea. I've never installed the EPU-6 driver as I run a high overclock and don't care about the power features.
Thought i'd chime in here that I built a computer for a friend...
EPU-6 Engine driver: http://drivers.windows9download.net/163/asus-epu-6-engine-utility-811684.html
It's for the R3BE, but it should also work w/ the regular R3E.
AI Charger works on my system,...
I'll re-run the test with a much larger text file tonight when I get home.
I don't think it matters though. I think Dufus is incorrect about my data just being flagged for rewrite. The data from...

Hey guys, I have a rampage 3 extreme and I modded the latest 1601 bios with the 11.6.0.1702 Intel sata/raid firmware.
I can confirm that raid 0 trim is working on x58.
I had to use the latest...
This reminds me of socketgate. Where the old Foxconn Lynnfield LGA sockets didn't contact correctly and caused damage.
There was also a high current component, but it feels similar.
See here:...
At no time did I say zalbard decided. just the community. And it's in there if you read the discussion. Cryptik, donmarkoni, newhit, xarot, and several of the big players in this club all agreed...
Do a thread search for 9216 you lazy bastard.
You're the one who's late to the party, not me. You have to do your research and homework.
It also looks like the reason why we chose 9216 may have...
That's within margin of error from boot to boot. 125.79 vs 126.46... Less than 1 GFlop.
We can see your memory usage in your prime95 screenshots and in both it's greater than your memory assignment in linx... So yeah, nice try. Also, all of the older members of this forum will laugh...
