correct! The best silent fans are not PWM fans, while the best performance fans are not PWM fans either; PWM sit in the middle and should be good for "average performance at acceptable noise levels"....

V10 was a bit too ambitious of a project, if they'd left out the TEC and used more fins the performance would have been better at a lower price;

gives you an idea what to expect, most likely the big optimizations have already been done, newer drivers tweaks from AMD/NVIDIA can change a few FPS here and there; DX10 (DX11?) mode might change...

well, since the "borked" chippery is going in devices which don't rely on the SATA ports which are "borked" there's no risk.
