I reckon a rad would be more efficient but more susceptible to damage from sand, stones, branches or whatever but i think either with the correct filtering/protection system would perform similarly...

but if heavy things come flying down the stream (if it floods) your rad would be f*****. so i would go for a separate loop with a hx

My brothers GX2 died and he got a 470 back when he rma'd it which was a pretty good deal

What you need to remember is that this rad is thicker than most radiators so that will reduce the extra restriction slightly.

Also if everyone thought like that then we would never get anywhere.

I had one of those cooling an xbox 360 for a bit... It did manage to just cool it with some serious airflow but for all practical uses its pointless.

To me your original post looks like its very much aimed at user 'windwithme' as you mentioned chess benchmarks... as i said they literally never come up here (maybe very rarely)

It seems like what you've said is directed at one specific user on XS as chess benchmarks rarely come up here and usually when testing es cpu's people usually only focus on how the cpu performs and...

That tec is 400w power consumption, you need 400w qmax.

A pc psu should be ok as long as it can supply enough current for the rating of the tec and then a little more just to be sure that it won't...

if i remember correctly the gts250 doesn't have an ihs, so there would need to be a piece of copper between the tec and the gpu, but you may be able to just cool it with one tec

maybe 3 mcw80's each with tecs under them attached to one giant peice of copper which in turn is attached to the gpu may work.... but its lots of work and high cost
