You were!! Hehee..... Looks like you've been very very busy.. While I've let whatever meager overclocking skills I may have once possessed lapse and atrophy.(That is if I ever really had any in the...
Has anyone tested these fans on a pa140.3? (With or without a shroud)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835129057
I soon will. But beyond saying: "They work".I probably won't...
Okay I'm back.. An update for anyone interested. My little emergency back-up gaming computer set me back on this project more than I want to think about.. But now it "IS" worthy... I ordered a PA...
I usually don't post in this thread... Cause I really don't have anything to show.. (Yet) And it may be awhile. I'll post some details in my noob thread on tec's. No point in double posting...
Well.....(Deep subject...) I suppose if someone had enough money to throw at it. It could be done.. But even if you could solve all the problems,NaeKuh pointed out. You would still probably have some...
I guess... I'd better move on now. Before I pour the slab to mount them.. ``And design the water-block... Nice Rad's!! Beautiful fans too! Ohhhhh....I like em'!!!...
Ohhhh...... I like em'!!! I want them!!! Finally!!!
Don't worry too much.. I really do think you'll sell one sometime in the fall.. Maybe sooner... Well have to see...
Okay. That shroud will be here friday. Ordered 9# YL 88's. And 9# plain wire fan grills. So it's still moving abet slow though....
Point taken... But even so. Why would you want your cpu to share the extra heat load and pressure drop with two big hot gfx cards and a restrictive board block? When it would certainly run cooler by...
I remember you... You and I are kinda' in the same boat in that we've been away for a long time. And are back to build new rigs. I haven't seen really any good testing on the quads or the 140's. ...
The ultimate water cooling setup?
I myself don't really know much about these newer components. What's on the top of lists and stuff like that. But I am myself a big advocate of the cpu...
What? Oh No!!!! (LOL) Vinegar used to be what we used to get rid of the flux in the rads. We'd fill em' up and let em' sit. Then we'd rinse em' out really good.. And use them.. I guess it doesn't...
Vinegar is bad now? Great!! My favorite rad has been running for five or six years now. I love that rad!! Hopefully not too much damage has been done.. I guess I'll have to try to neutralize it.. I...
COOL!!! PM is coming!!
Private message sent... Oh.. And Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. In advance...
I probably will wind up making one up.. Or having one made.. I already have 1# to use as the model for the pattern.. And yeah I can make a gasket from the same pattern. The problem is,that rad...
I really hate to start a new thread over this. But my pet project has stalled in lieu of a shroud and gasket. For a pa120.3 with the 25mm fan spacing(Actually it's stalled for other reasons too.) ...
Looks like my project is grinding to a halt... One of my older rigs bloated a cap. So newer platform for that old case. It's 24/7 server of sorts that should overclock some and game okay though. ...
I knew there were good reasons for it..
I'm still building as if I can afford to. I think I can. But I went way over budget on the case, this past month. But that's the only way that could possibly go. Big with lotsa' elbow room.. I can...
Really good read. Thought I'd bump it to find it better....
I really like the new block. So now 4# hex bolts to hold the cold plate to the water block? Plus the mounting hardware helps some... Iron/Steel doesn't really transfer heat all that well. And those...
I like this.. I think Ultra's hot plates screws, screw in from the bottom of the block though. And a plastic washer would also be needed to help further isolate the heat. So there wouldn't be anymore...
Well....... Like "Tool" said: You really don't want to worry too much about temps. Not just because we really don't know what they are. But because to do so,is very addictive. And the progression of...
