Yes water is only for cooling and silence no more oc headroom, with 7970 there is at leat 50mhz to gain on core. On the 680 the ram only oc more +50mhz. Some more points:

Mine does the same noise since day one, not a problem for me. The sound increase with the voltage but you can't here it with the stock cooling noise, only notifiable wit water or ln².

With vdrop 1.4v software is 1.28-1.3v load measured with multimeter.

More clocks, where will it stop!

Just got my EK block, temperature is amazing 38°c after two hours of BF3 1200/1600 1.2v!

EK waterblock arrived, no gain without more gpu volts... But the ram is very "happy" (with stock volt):

No mem voltage control only more range than AB (I was limited to 1790 with AB). The gpu voltage drop identically as AB, sets to 1.3v give 1.21v load...

I use trixx, it's works well!

My card is a Sapphire and i can raise the voltage up to 1.3v without any problem...



It's not the purpose of my post, i'm here only to show my max OC. I play BF3 at max CCC, Crysis is too old...

Max frequencies with stock cooler, wait for my EK block to arrive. I don't expect much improvement without more volt...

EK block ordered, Koolance cut in the front is ugly.

Vdrop:yepp: Your card is fine, you have to deal with this voltage; 1,3v(AB)= 1.21v(real) is good to 1300mhz.
