Not too many people need more than 6 SATA ports.

Yea I am running those 3 acers, I can reboot and shutdown without any issues. I know you have some LCD's laying around to test out :P
Have you tried just 2 way? I am running 2d surround with 2 680's and havent had any problems (been a dream really compared to my 7970's).
Personally I had a lot of problems with 7970 CFx, BSOD's, artifacts, etc. It all went away when I ran only one card.

I really like my RIVE, only X79 I have owned so that is pretty biased. No budget? Custom water.
Hard to say if its good or REALLY good without knowing your cooling setup. I do think the vCore is high for that clock though.

Yes it was extremely stable with a 5850. Single card same results, tried them both separately. I havent tried the EZ plug because the manual said it was for quad sli. I have not messed with any PCIe...
I am getting lock ups while gaming with my new cards. Is there a voltage I need to bump up to run to OC'd 7970's? I just want to rule out issues here. I have tried both cards solo, diff slots etc.
Any gains with these and your 7970?
