hey guys, just thought id let you know i havnt given up on the projects, i have actually built another.

the first build is still in "build" stage as i stupidly blew through the captube by accident...

depending what resistance the sensors give out, you could possibly calibrate them yourself with a pot or resistor. i thought about it with this crappy one that come with the SS im working on now.

looking nice man, that case has turned out really good. how accurate are those displays then?

i will pick up a few of those probes then this week and load it up.

i have made a bit of progress tonight, sorted the accumulator out and prepped the case and tested the case fitting, all snug as a bug now :up:

i didnt bother with a slhx for my first unit as you know gray. how much would you say you gained from doing it on your units? i am guessing it's a fair capacity increase. i think it will be next on...

yes gray, it's all good fun. they are refco gauges and only ever used on this build, i remember i paid about £70 for them back in the day. i highly doubt its less than -40 going by the lowside.

tested again today

added some more gas, lowside is -0.4bar -51c according to pressures, but my cheapo k-type says -37c so i think it's out of range...

unit is gassed with r290, decided to give it a blast with that first, using grays mods it should turn out well.

static it's sitting about 70psi on the low side. running pressure is -2 psi i think...

gray that looks the bollox :D painting has really added the final touches. i like those fans too.

i cant see the seam on the front panel, so it looks a good job to me, cant wait to see the...

thats a good idea, and i have some small rubber wiring gromets that have an internal hole for around that size screws so i will throw some of those in.

i do need to add side fans...
