I never really liked photomatix. It's near impossible to get a clean image without tone mapping and that just creates too much of an unrealistic look. Useful if you're going for that look though....
I actually had to drop the two brightest exposures. They wouldn't line up properly. 9 shots hand held.... 7 out of 9 aint bad lol

you guys need to start posting full res so we can crop them to our desktop resolutions.
i used jpegs, i tried photomatix, and photoshop cs3. i'll add some examples later. but with both apps i just tried their default HDR settings, i tried tweaking a little, but it made no difference.
i can't seem to figure this out :(
