To be fair there has been numerous deaths and decapitations of small children because of that.
I for one, will be giving i7 a miss for now.
Got a link?
Ah, yeah just noticed that the guy I was comparing with was using 1.41 instead of 1.42.
:(
Oh well no more gains to be made.

How do you get 1T to work on this board?
I've tried the release BIOS and the current BIOS, though it shows 1T as being selected in the BIOS, CPUZ and Memset both show 2T. Any ideas of what I'm...
Hopefully there will be sufficient work to integrate DDR3 that they completely redesign the chipset for 790i.
Jokester
Not really. They're both of similar designs, but EK are considerably better value. I've never seen any direct comparisons to say what's the better performers, but I expect that there won't be...
Ahh, sorry it was two 590 chips.
Jokester
Not the first time Nvidia have done this, 680a was just two 580a chipsets on board wasn't it?
Jokester
What technique did you use to apply the AS5, as it can be very sensitive to how thick a layer you use (thinner being better obviously)?
Jokester
All E6x50 chips are G0.
Jokester
As far as I was aware G90 was always planned for Feb 2008, it's only those that have been saying that G92 was the 9800 that was due in November.
Not sure where that comes from, in the recent...
Is the Q6700 guaranteed to be a G0 stepping on release or is there going to be a mix at first?

It's essentially the head of water that can be pumped vertically by the pump.
The pressure drop from a length of hose would be pretty minimal I would have thought, as long as it's on the level.
...
It'll fit in between the mounting holes, just have the edges overhanging the heatspreader and make sure you take adequate protection against condensation.

The cold plate doesn't cool the cold side, but you do need full coverage on the hotside (ie the waterblock).
Directly applying a GPUs 150W of heat to 20% of the surface area of a 225W TEC won't do...
Think it was Petra that done some tests that showed that series was better than parallel using DDCs (or was it D5s?). The gains over single pumps were pretty small though.
Jokester
You use a coldplate between a TEC and a core to make sure the entire surface area of the TEC is used to cool the core. If you direct mount the TEC to the core, all you're doing is using a fraction of...
Read something somewhere where a UK games shop was saying that they were getting about 1 in 4 360s back within the warranty for replacement.
Jokester
Might be a bit controversial, but is there any benefit in using a cold plate on a core that has a heatspreader over the top, as it's effectively providing the same function.

I asked about this a few months ago:-

I never got round to doing it as the pin you need to solder is pretty small and I didn't fancy...
If you've got any cavitation in your pump, it'll sound like there's solids going through it.
No noise, no cavitation.
Jokester
There won't be anything stopping someone from importing it, the only difference is now pretty much every gamer in the UK knows about the game.
Jokester
Any idea what happens if I just soldered those two pins together? Will it
just do away with droop altogether or will it go up in smoke? :p:
Jokester
Thanks, looks like it's going to be have to be done to a new board though, this current one's RAID controller has just failed again (despite flashing to P23).
