Yeah, I went for Air Force entry about a year ago now, though it doesn't seem that long. I got knocked back on my hearing (65dB loss both ears). I had to shave it off for that and the wife decided...

Yes, I always look out for the idiots, there's so many on the road these days it's hard to NOT see them!
Lately, besides riding and the Sprout, I'm training my arse off ......

At one point I was running Ubuntu (Gnome 2 desktop) on the kids'...
Dragged in another 2 cores.

The cracking apps I have make good use of GPU hardware and even modest GPUs can cut brute force cracking time down by 90%. With the use of good rainbow tables and expressions that can be cut down...
Well, for later then:
This is what I'd expect to see on a machine with BOINC installed from the repositories:
michael@girlz-desktop /var/lib/boinc-client $ ls -al
total 528
drwxr-xr-x 5...
Depending on the desktop interface you can often open a given folder as root with the file manager. I tend to do it from the command line though but exactly how will depend on exactly what I'm...
For the ones running from your home directory, make them owned by your user. For the ones from the repository they need to be owned by either root or boinc, I'm not sure which.
edit: Ok, just...
