Ok.. this is a recent issue, and hardware has not been changed .. when overclocking i am getting a hard shut down. it happens when the CPU load goes to full 100%.
As an example, If I run at 4600...
Trying the new drivers.. and precision 4.2 noticed Valley ..that the first CPU seems to throttle a little more.. shows loading now and seems to be peaking and then throttling a little.. the second...
Picked up some 2133 1.5v sticks..
Just started tweaking.. could not get 2400 mhz cl9 stable yet.. went to 1.65v.. I decided to take it easy , and loosened timing to cl10... and now running...
Well decided to go for it.. got a couple of hydro coppers.. actually I was skeptical, but the blocks do seem to be performing well.. only 2 issues .. the sticker is poor and ill fitting (thankfully...

Like the ram... Any chance of telling where you got them from.. very interested..
I know.. hence the hyper pi32 .. but from a system perspective , its a good indicator (at least for me)
Not sure what you call stable, but no worse than what I see posted elsewhere.. I can run LINX and Hyper pi 32 OK at 2400Mhz, . not stable yet in LINX @ 2500 ..
These Samsung are great fun.. for low cost Ram.. now at... (correction..) 2500mhz (timings not bad)..
running at 1.59 V Dimms .. for 2400mhz
running at 1.65 V Dimms .. for 2500mhz
... now...
Wow!!... thats exactly the problem.. 1 minute.. fix.. multiplier running sweet now.
Thanks so much .. I bow to you.
I am currently using the 125 strap and yes 1500mhz.. I did try and check cpu z under linx load.. same deal sticking at 12 multiplier. I will check to see if any templates I can use on the settings...
Tried that..thanks disabled both but still not budging from the 12 multiplier.. I am at a loss ...
Help!!
Just installed R4E and 3960.. but while I seem to be able to adjust the Multiplier Ok in bios and shows changed during start up ,, I always end up with a 12 multiplier / 1500mhz.. when in...
I tried these out as well on my R3E, I did manage 2400Mhz... 11,11,11,28 , had to run dimms at 1.6v though, I ran a couple or Linx runs ok. but not really stable
I just used 2 sticks, to see if I...

How come there was a huge latency improvement between:
2400Mhz@9-12-9-31 and 2466Mhz@9-12-9-31.. did a stick drop out
I second that....

I have been tinkering to see what the best performance I can get for a potential 24/7 setup,
I wanted to stay close to 1.375max CPU, and below 1.4 VTT, and found I can get decent scores and RAM...
