I don't mean to revive an old thread but I just wanted to chime in that I had the same problem and I found that bumping up the RAM voltage to the RAM's rated amount, loosening the memory's timings...
I didn't even know OEM isn't supported by the manufacturer but I still bought the OEM of vista ultimate 64 and it works like the normal retail version. I bought mine from newegg.com.
I recommend Vista 64 Ultimate. Don't get anything lower then Ultimate, even if the computer is only for home use.
