Could you explain a little? I've been doing it since... I don't know... Forever. Never had any problems.
That's a good memory. What chips are those? Maybe Micron? I have 2 kits of 2x4GB Crucial Ballistix Tracer which are Microns and OC about the same as those (and even more then 2200, you should try...
Great deal! Thanks for pointing it out.
Thanks buddy! Appreciate it! :toast:
Hey guys, I need a quick advice from you all, as I have opportunity to get some stuff from abroad. :D
I was thinking of some memory, planing to use on Rampage 4 Extreme (and Maximus 5 Gene):

What if you take the power consumption, divide it with CPU VID, and multiply it by vCore? Wouldn't it give approximate real power?
[thinking out loud]If you read first one, then before you read...
He meant 1101, like he said few posts back.
It's working just as good as previous, but so much quicker boot, thanks to some great new features.
Sergio, is it working good for you too?
Working fine.
If I may...
I guess he found it in the BIOS, or in the Z77 chipset datasheet. Hmm... Maybe you could check Z77 datasheet.
It can be left on Auto or manually selected between 100:100 and 100:133....
 Legend he is.
Can't remember if tWR can be changed on Gulftown/OC Orange. I might fire it up to check. Still have it. :D Actually, I'll put it back in my sig.
Glad to help. :)
When you find time for LGA2011, I'll be here to test it and report back. It is the least I can do.

Hi! Great news! I'll start testing as soon as I get home from work.
I'm not really sure about IMC, still testing... These speeds are new for me, still learning. Not even sure if my memory can handle 2700+.
Which chips are on your RAM? I'm looking all over for...
Don't be so sure... ;)
This is under water, hot summer water :D

Are you serious? You CPU is insured? How is that possible?
So, you could overclock it, kill it, and your insurance would cover it? :D
Glad I could help. :) But, WOW, tWR 5 and tWCL 7
I can game, but I won't call it 24/7 stable, at least not yet.
Thanks!
RAM is ADATA 2400 9-11-9-27 (from my sig), with PSC chips. You can find here few tests with it.
Nothing there in the tertiary settings to tweak... Well, those other timings with latency 5 and 3 could improve Memory Copy a little if lowered.
Go for secondary timings, try lowering tRRD and...
There is MemTweakIt V1.01.7 @Asus site (mirror)
EDIT: damn, andressergio, you beat me to it, while I was attaching photos. now I must buy you a beer. :toast:
BTW, I tought of joining this...
Those are safe voltages.
Read SB-E technical documentation.
BTW, "perfectly stable" is very subjective.
Great run! I did some testing (but it was hot to finish) and 4.7GHz is about lowest possible for 200GFLOPS run.
Nice temps, BTW. Is it snowing in your room? :D
Try this:
Turbo Ratio: By All Cores: 52 (on first BIOS s/s)
CPU Ratio: Auto (on second BIOS s/s)
Enhanced Intel SpeedSpet Technolody: Enabled (on second BIOS s/s)
SB-E IS supported. Go one page back and read.
