get the 2x 2GB 2200C8 http://www.ewiz.com/detail.php?name=WS220UX4G8&title=Super-Talent-DDR3-2200-4GB-2X2G-CL8-Dual-Channel-Memory-kit
From what i've seen of folks GTX2 results they are about...
andressergio congrats very nice on P45 chipset :)
several folks have called and emailed Super Talent and yes confirmed super talent 2000/2200 8-8-8-24 stuff are Elpida Hyper see...
ah even Praz has a kit of these fine modules :D
really bad luck there it seems, i read psu could effect clocks too so worth a try ?
Yeah seems about the ceiling for these super talent 2000c8 and 2200c8 elpida hyper around 870mhz 6-6-6-x range -/+ 10-20mhz. 900mhz seems just out of reach unless you loosen to 6-7-6-x timings.
6x2GB might need much higher cpu vtt and vdimm than 3x2GB, that's what i'm finding with 980X and 6x2GB 2200C8 stuff - pretty much DDR3-1800Mhz and looser timings 8-9-8-x and 9-9-9-x is the limit if i...
runnin17, how's GTX2 vs ST holding up ?
interesting probably just ran out of black pcbs heh
I see.. probably just needs some tweaking :)
True super talent can afford to keep prices lower because of this :)
Yeah would explain the price drop :)
thanks :)
yeah i also noticed transferring data between partitions from sata to ssd is much faster with 12GB than 6GB :D
bit confused you said 148-150bclk x12 mem multi 6-6-6- that's...
can be a bit of both and add in motherboard/platform factors heh
this ain't prime just single 32M pi 6x2GB = 12GB 6-6-6-20 1T - remember only 2 out of 6 modules memtested at 900mhz 6-6-6-20 1T...
nice setup there, using 3x 60x25mm sunon 23.5cfm maglev fans for cooling memory :)
trying some 12GB Elpida Hyper action next
...
with memory being binned very aggressively by Corsair on GTX2, doubt you'd get anywhere close on cheaper elpida by other brands
let us know how you do :)
congrats and welcome to the world of...
hmm can't peek in that far under heatspreader LOL
could be your AMD platform holding it back too ?
From http://i4memory.com/f83/super-talent-chrome-ddr3-2000-2200-cas8-23675/ several folks...
The photos aren't a close up shots but crops of image taken around 40-80cm away from the memory modules. Using Pentax K-7 with Sigma 18-50mm EX 2.8 macro lens hand held :)
Anyway, got off my lazy...
Too lazy to take a better photo so found what PCB is used from existing photo - seems to be Brain Power PCB
...
