Just to add something in to the mix. A 290 will dump considerably more heat then your 5Ghz Sandy.
Your best option would be to use the two pumps, both rads (280 + 140) , CPU and GPU on the same...

I will keep tem then, my CPU can boot 3000 with Hynix CFR single sided. I am not so lucky with Samsung... Though they were the chips I liked the most, using my Samsung greens I can't even get 2400...
