It doesn't matter why the dual core is slower, it matters that it is ~30% (60 vs. 45fps) slower. In modern games that'll be the normal case, not the outlier.

True for any old 2-thread game like Starcraft2 oder Skyrim, but in any game with a modern engine, like BF3, that little intel@2.7Ghz won't come anywhere near a 750K@4.5GHz ;-)
