Probably a good thing. Ears tend to fall off around Movieman here. Never did get a word in edgewise.
Truly fantastic project. Brings tears to my eyes--feels just like Fallout! Literally my only quip is that I think you should have used the Radioactivity sign (☢) instead of the Biohazard sign (☣).
Not bad, if you can stand the width of the chassis. Aside from that, I'd like to see 2.5" bays and possibly some SATA backplanes (simplifying SATA power connectors etc). Otherwise, even just a SATA...
Very cool, l3p! I'm impressed with how the GPU's coming out--great idea on having it at a 45 degree angle.
Sandy Bridge & Ivy Bridge were not. I suppose Haswell will depend on the system prices. How much will the 4770K, a Z87 motherboard, and say 4x4GB DDR3 run? And how much impact will it have on AA/AAA...
I would go so far as to say just a dual intake. Make sure it's filtered--several times over. Broad mesh filter on the outside, finer mesh filter on the inside. You'll want to keep things protected...
Some say, The Stig powers the most powerful computers in the world.
What we know for sure, is that HE'S THE STIG!
More drive mounts is where I'm at, too. My server has 5 3.5" drives, my main has 5 3.5" drives + 1 2.5" drive.
LSI 9207, reflashed with an IR BIOS?
I've bought and sold fiarly before. Items are usually decently packed. I've had a few bent pins (on daughterboards, mostly) but nothing I didn't expect.
Transactions were smooth and everything. No...
Is the VRAM cooled sufficiently? Just because the GPU itself is fine, doesn't mean the VRAM is. Otherwise, it may be the sign of a failing graphics card, a bad cable, or a bad control board on the...
There are some worthy open and semi-open headphones at many different price points. You can easily go over $200 for just the headphones--nevermind the often necessary amp or the preferable DAC (or,...
You shoulda just fired up the tubes! :p: LEDs are fine and good but the heater element is what give em their fiery glow.
Where to acquire said PC-7H? It's not on Newegg so far as I can see.
Intel 2600? I'm afraid I don't understand. Can you run, validate, & post a CPU-Z dump? http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html
Thank you, and I'm sure we'll look into it.
By the way, I loved my K58's power button. That in stark comparison to this:

I am using the RST button on the PWR...
Displayport, and I think some passive Displayport-to-VGA adapters or, preferably, Displayport-to-HDMI adapters may work.
There's the 3570K for $180 (Ivy Bridge, no HT) and a Xeon E3-1230 V2 (Ivy Bridge, HT enabled) for $245. Considering the prices, the 3570K is more bang-for-your-buck, at least when looking at CPUs...
Reason NOT to do it? Because the extra 2 pins are ground sensing. It indicates that the PCI-E connector can handle an 8.4A load versus a standard 6.3A load. They're usually just connected to the GND...
It's a tower that actually receives support from Lian-Li. When my PC-9F's flimsy power button fell apart, I emailed several times and never received a response. While I give most LL designs a 4/5 or...
I bought one, despite negative reviews. Mine is running right now, at least on USB. It didn't seem to want to work on SATA (using the Marvell 9128 controller on my Asus Sabertooth X58). I'll try it...
At least said marijuana dispensary would help you recall the good old days of PTS.
As I said before, I still miss your site, Petra. You used to have all the best hardware--including from many...
I like the V650, but I worry about graphics card clearance. My HD5850 won't fit. Nor will a GTX 670. 1.5cm more and we could fit 9.5" cards, at least. I consider that restriction an unfortunate flaw.
Probably a couple Xeon E3-1230 V2's. :p:
