The Nvidia gtx 660 is the best sub $200 card for gaming you can get for 2560x1440, but you might be able to find cheaper just for HD video playback.

First delidded i5-4670k result I've seen posted here:

Should get better when his Liquid Ultra arrives, it was done with PK-3....
Very nice I bought a used one and will install on my socket 1155 3770k sooner or later.
Any comments on the thermal paste?
Ppl at Overclock.net are talking painting the exposed metal next to the die with nail polish or mx-4 or gasket sealant prior to Liquid Metal as Liquid Metal is conductive.
Thanks but this makes my 3770k very sad...BTW the ram speed is higher on the 4770k but I don't think it made that much of a difference.
Both Microcenter Asus boards look good in the promo, how's the Gigabyte board and what makes it a Microcenter exclusive?
Tempting but I ain't biting until I see some 4.8ghz+ delidded results.
If you can get the 3770 plus 1155 motherboard for substantially cheaper than the 4770 and 1150 motherboard, then no.
Otherwise a week or 2 wait won't kill you if you are still running a q6600.
Haswell overclocking?
I agree with Shania Twain and McKayla Maroney.
Somebody delid a retail chip already!
All in the name of "good enough computing" for the masses and "power efficiency" especially for the mobile platform market. Pretty much dictated and proven by the economic rise and prominence of...
Not at all, that would be stupid money to spend, especially when a i7-3770k is $229 at Microcenter.
Even the lowly i3-2100 is as powerful as a q9650.
The Penryn e8xxx series were my favorite before...
Wow, a Xeon X3380 is still $250 on eBay but is probably the best chip made for socket 775 with it's 9.5x multiplier, 12mb L2 cache and 4.0ghz 24/7 FSB OC on high end air.
Funny, the e6750 is only...
You might be hitting the limit for your chip BUT I do remember that I was able to squeeze out a little more overclock and Prime95 stability by attaching a small fan to the northbridge of my Gigabyte...
Nice one. Which are Haswell deep sleep compatible?
By the end of week I'm sure there will be plenty of overclocking results starting to surface.
Specimens are out in the wild, and by next week there will probably be retail malay results posted in...
So it begins...
$600 - who's biting?

That is very ugly at 1.58v...
Wow this would look great on a Honda Civic!
Maybe you can bake it in an oven like a dead graphics card and resurrect it!
Death by Ebay, sell as is.
I hope you are able to overclock your recovery ;)
For a good 2500k-2700k vcore for 4.8ghz stable is usually 1.32-1.36v.
The lowest I've seen was 1.28v for 4.8ghz on a Sandy and that was probably the best one ever.
Best of luck!
Now in addition to Computex booth babes we expct to see some SEMA ones too! :yepp:
No word yet on TIM vs. Solder?
Right...
