Yup I will be. :p:
Honestly they haven't even bothered me. I probably could have cut them down a bit but didn't even think about it.
Thanks. :)
Thanks. It might even happen this year!
Got some good/bad news. As you can see the pics the case is obviously powder coated. The bad news is the 'high temp' filler I used wasn't high temp enough it seems. Everything I patched was in vain,...
I think the acrylic or nickel plated versions could look very good after a nice hard polishing job.
Looks good so far.
Will this be for a naked die CPU like a delidded 4970K? Cathar always said that the Storm G5 was the absolute best design for a naked CPU. I've always wanted to try one on a naked 4770K but haven't...
A pic of a Thermosphere for reference. There are some GTX970s that have a short PCB like my GTX650Ti Boost. A GTX970 doesn't pull much more power and a similar heatsink for the VRMs should work.

Check coolingconfigurator but it should work.

It is pretty expensive for a universal but it looks so much better. I paid $80USD for the block and an addition...
Thanks.
That would be EK's new universal water block. I think it is awesome. I could definitely see myself buying some more of them in the future.
The coolant is a mix of Mayhems deep blue and...
Finishing off the 24-pin and a few more pics.

Finished off the last retention bar. Well not finished but cut.

Pic of the PSU end. ...
I started working on the cable management. Started at the PSU and working my way down.

Personally I would buy a short PCB GTX970 and use an EK Thermosphere. They look awesome and I doubt the VRMs run hot enough to require anything besides a simple heatsink.
Had to spend a few nights in the hotel so I took the block tops along with me. So I did a few hours of polishing while watching some TV one night.

A few necessary parts showed up.

Hello. This build log will be for a water cooled Cooler Master Stacker 830 that I will be giving the minimalist treatment. The case was used a few years ago when I started to do a build with it....
Will there be a GTX 980 version? :p:
The Ti's should in theory be faster. But quite a bit more expensive at the moment.
Nice updates.
Having the reservoir so close to the motherboard would have likely been a problem. Especially since it would be so close to the 24 pin connector.
Yes. About half of the water will go the one route while the other half goes through the other block. Flow rate though the blocks will be significantly lower.
Sure they can be used like that. His CPU and GPU block just run in parallel. The blocks have a similar pressure drop so this shouldn't be an issue w/ just one GPU. Do not do this if you are using two...

This day and age people want quiet systems. High FPI just ain't cool anymore.
HWLabs is as good as you can get for radiator build quality. So can't really get better radiators than this.
What you have should be fine. Is the block free of debris inside? Is it mounted properly?
