No you're not crazy, you're completley right.
SLI is just a muscle showing nVidia made to "beat" ATI easily and quickly till she shows her AMR/SLI solution too... R520 FUDO :slobber: :slobber:...
Now, IIRC the DFI will be available next month, which means 2-3 months here in my country :(
I don't know about the MSI but I think it should be out real soon (means real far me again :().
And...
Hello,
Just saw the fresh benchmakrs of HL2:
http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=19707
Looks like ATI are killing Nvidia.
X800XTPE is the king, Even X800P beats 6800U in most of the cases.

I was joking. I know OCZ's PSU's aren't rebanded Tagan's, but that's what the PC P&C fans say; not that I believe them of course... :p:
chunkylover77, since you got both PSU's, I hope you'll do a...
3DFX's technologies were the best at that time :p:
What do you guys think would be better for an A64 SLI system:
OCZ 600W or PCPC510D? OCZ's ratings are much better than PCPC's (700W+ peak, 40A @ 12v @ stock and more - Altough I don't know nothing...
Also, look for week 0432 and above...
Go for the 939 option if you want futureproof system.
If you want it the most futureproofed (:D) system you should wait for NF4 SLI + 6800PCX, but I've already saw that you already have a 6800AGP....
If you can assure you'll manage to get 3Ghz from the 3500, so get it no doubt.
I don't think 4000+ worths it, in around the same price you can get the best silicon + wafer AMD produced at that...
Best mouse for gaming is Raze DiamondBack, should hit the shelves in early-Nov.
Although an IME3.0 with SteelPad S&S + Hyperglides is one hell of a combo
ATI has no plans to produce a SLI-like solution (That's official from ATI's recent statements).
And Nvidia is faster than ATI @ CS:Source, also HL2 is going to support SM3.0 so that's another point...
OCZ600W costs pretty much the same like a PCPC510 or even cheaper, so i'll think about it. Regarding its specifications; how much regulation, ripple and efficiency? 40A on the 12v sounds very nice.
...
A 754 version of what
This cpu is already 754pin, that or i'm high right now :stick:
:slobber:
Sayaa:
So you think a PCPC510/OCZ520 will power my singleCPU/DualGPU rig perfectly, even in extreme clocks @ full load? That's good to here, thank you :)
From what I saw my impressions were that...
So now I dunno which PSU I should take: :(
PC P&C 510 Deluxe Express OR OCZ PowerStream 520W?
Which will be better powering a A64/NF4/SLI/4drives/Audigy/Input etc. system?
Remember i'm going to do...
I vote for the 939.
Alienware's ALX ARRAY supports ATI and Nvidia cards both,
But now they moved to SLI based systems, so only Nvidia.
Skitzo, New generation cards are like years away... So your lwait is like years time.
Even NF4 + PCI-E + SLI is not out yet... :P I dont can or want to wait years time, so long.
BTW, The PSU that...
You don't have to buy 2 cards just to run your system...
You can buy 1 that supports SLI for the start, and when it's cheaper you can add another one, it's your best upgrade path.
Grayson Carlyle,
Do you think OCZ's 520w is also a quality PSU?
And what do mean by writing "2x2"? Do you mean 2xcpu/2xgpu?
Because if so, I don't have to worry because i'm only getting 2gpus.
Saw this at PCP&C's site:
"Guaranteed to Power any Single or Dual CPU System With up to Twelve Drives!"
(TurboCool XXX 510 units)....
Well, I don't plan to get Dual CPU, but i'll have Dual GPU....
You can't mount a 754 chip on a 939 board!
(I mean, nF4 doesn't support s754 IIRC).
Sayaa:
Why not?
I heard that pcpc is the be(a)st, in terms of performance...
Sure the OCZ is cost less, but I heard that his rails / ampers are bad...
