That's incredible for X48! Well done Duck-san!
Haha that's hilarious
PC8500 CAS7? That's a slow latency for DDR2. So this may somewhat explain the reports of their very poor overclocking, in that they would be close to their limits simply performing at 1066 MHz but at...
Congratulations, you're going very well indeed! Awesome CPU
Impressive as always! That's incredible FSB, and a amazing achievement for overall best clock WR! Congratulations
Impressive FSB! Awesome work.
What vdimm were you using? 700 MHz from PC8500 is also very impressive!
2.0v real? If so they are awesome ram. What kind are they?
Congratulations Team.AU! That's a fantastic assortment of records, what a weekend! Well done.
Yes there are definitely more factors regarding D9 degradation than simply voltage. I answered simply as he as a gigabyte board, and hence no drive strength adjustment. If the board has bad vdimm...
Yes I agree on that, 2.2v max 24/7, and use a fan on them.
Absolutely, high temps (60*C+) definitely can destabilize the overclock.
You should not be exceeding 1.3625v if you do not want to suffer any degradation, noticeable on not. Also you definitely need better cooling, those temps are insane. try using a fan on your existing...
Nice VID, now get clocking! :D
Even if it's opened, you're better off knowing what it can do and using that as a selling point if you decide to part with it. Just don't take it over it's rated max...
Holy
That's an impressive cpu, and a great board too. If it has no cold bug, that thing will be a monster under some LN2 :D
Nice clocks and FSB , especially on a quad!
This seems to similar to my situation. I have a P5Q-Deluxe, and it also doesn't like clocking my ram over 1150MHz CAS5 and it refuses to do 1200 MHz...
Thanks eva that's the one  I hadn't had a chance to search for it beyond the original link. Cheers.
Excellent guys, that's good to know. Those lists have become the bible of ram :D
No idea what has happened there mate.
Nice run. That would have been a lot of fun to attend. Lucky bastards :p:
Back to the old school gear! Nice work guys. I loved my old 2.8C M0 cpu, it overclocked like a deamon! Netburst sure was fun.
...
Yeah I've only heard of that in regard to the cpu fan not just a random fan. Perhaps it was just being finicky and needed to have power reset, but that still is strange behaviour.
Glad it's...
That's certainly strange! No idea why that would have made a difference, unless the mobo requires a fan to be plugged in to that header to boot (like some do with the cpu fan - it's a safety...
Hmm. Silly question but do you have the 4/8 pin EPS cable plugged back in? (I had to ask although I assume you have checked all power connections).
Does anything power up (fans, HDD etc) when the...
Looking good so far, keep it coming. I'd like to see voltage settings used etc in the final review.
Make sure the new cooler's backplate is not touching any pins that protrude through the mobo and shorting them out. I would doubt that you have broken the die with excessive pressure.
