Seems like there is an easy fix for this, at least it worked for some guys. You just have to set the "Maximum Fan Speed" slider to 100% in ccc's AMD OverDrive.

The cheaper part doesn't apply everywhere, over here the 7970 is still 60€ cheaper than the 680.

My vote goes to the Xigmatek Elysium too if you can accommodate the aesthetics, multiple possibilities to set-up a WC config in there.

This is on my pos 955 C2 at everyday settings, it wouldn't do more than 3.8 anyway if i recall correctly.

Cyclos said that it could be as much as 30% of the total power for a CPU and that they could shave 25% off of that but they weren't specifically talking about any CPU.

Did you check voltages after you switched CPUs and make sure they were not set too low?

With AMD's track record recently the only real confirmation will be when they actually launch.

Maybe because you can't OC a CPU that's not available and even more because that CPU was supposed to be available somewhere between one month and a half ago and two weeks ago but instead it doesn't...

So, we are one week past AMD's worst case scenario for BD's availability but they don't feel like communicating about the delay :clap:

I suppose AMD must be removed from the reliable sources list...

AMD brought the 60-90 days timeline for availability on June 1st AFAIK so they missed it already.
