Flashed my XDX HD6950 2GB to unlock the additional shaders only. I didn't fancy pumping in extra voltage, the extra shaders will do me fine.
There was rumours, but nothing was really confirmed.
Then check out the Core editions of Windows Server ;)
Windows 7 is already going modular. You can pretty much remove anything and everything in Windows 7. Even Internet Explorer.
This is nothing new, Windows 7 development was started pretty much in the middle of Windows Vista Beta Program.
Early Windows 7 builds looked exactly like Windows Vista just with the build tag...
Quick question. Regarding "PCIE SATA Voltage". 1.6v too high/dangerous? Recommended setting?
Nice. Pretty much the same settings as me. Although my vcore is somewhat lower.
Here are my 3.6 Ghz settings:
Ai Overclock Tuner [Manual]
CPU Ration Setting [8.00]

Wow....awesome, just awesome.
So, whats your next project? :D
Upgraded last night to 1406. Kept the same settings as 0803. With CME set to Performance. Passed linpack (10x). And Prime95-Blend 8hrs+.
I'm a happy bunny.
2.02. I did get these same sticks to run at stock speeds with 1.8. Not tried bring the voltage down with them running @ 1081.
Have you tried loweing your vcore for 3.4 a little more? I agree 3.6 is hard to achieve, alot more tricky than 3.4.
Re: sig. Nice OC mate, is that your 24/7? Or just for benchmark purposes?
...
My link still works.
BIOS 1406:

Wow  thats unlucky. No idea why it thats high! Anybody care to speculate? Or is it just an unruly chip?
55c on load is awesome though. Especially with a vcore like that. Supose water does...
Sheesh, no need to get your knickers in a twist mate, I'm saying for reference point. Yeah I know every chip/setup is different. But 1.4vcore for 3.8 ghz is complete overkill.
No way should you be using such a high vcore. Lower asap. My vcore is at 1.21250 and thats for 3.6 Ghz.
Been there done that mate. Ran my TWIN2X4096-8500C5DF @ DRAM1.8v @ 1066Mhz with my 3.4 Ghz...
VTT = FSB Termination Voltage
0803 in my opinion.
The only place I was going wrong were my GTL refs, they were complete out-of-the-normal. I could probably get the volts down a bit more. But if it ain't broke, don't fix it right?
Thanks :D Finally.
CPU-Z shows vcore at 1.200 and then goes to 1.208 on load.
As promised my 3.6 Ghz settings. Prime95 Blend 12hrs+ stable. And IBT stable.
Ai Overclock Tuner [Manual]
CPU Ration Setting [8.00]
FSB Frequency [450]
PCIE Frequency [100]
FSB...
Well add another one to your list. I had to downgrade my BIOS to get stable stock out of my Q9450 to 0803. Not sure if it damaged my chip though.
:cheer: We have 3.6 Ghz stable :cheer:
Prime95/Blend has been running successfully for 12hrs+ without error. Temps average 50c.
Will post my settings up soon
Ahh, ok.
;) :yepp:
