Thanks. So I had a quick experiment in the UEFI and I now have the RAM running at 1866...well CPU-Z says 936.5.
I tried it at 2400 and the PC failed to boot, so I backed it down to 1866 and seems OK...

Can anyone more knowledgeable than me help me out here. I'm not 100% sure on the RAM settings for my FX build. TBH the UEFI is new to me and a little confusing lol.

I agree. Coretemp gives a ludicrous low temp for my 8350. The motherboard sensor seems to be more accurate.
Coretemp shows idle temp of 16c, while ASUS monitor shows 34c
