Yeah saw that in the other thread. Nasty, what would cause that? Bad joint?

This fixed the slave idle speeds.

64bit, yes.
Possibly, worked on the 10.1s (and earlier) though.
These broke the powerplay on my slave card. Works fine in game, drops low on exit. The shoots back to stock speeds for idle. Master card is fine.
And both card mucked around on both systems? Exactly the same issues?
For reference, both mine are on the Asus bios, originally on Sapphire. On a Gigibyte x58 Extreme, pretty much the UD5 board....
Thanks for the links Pyr0/Biker. Installed and seem ok so far.
I don't troll. If you bothered reading my comments, I already have asked a pertinent question. I also have two of these cards overclocked from the day of release with early bios' and no problems....
No you look, then don't put OS's up then, not unless people have tested against all of them. Its utterly pointless, the way it is a simple yes or no would be just as accurate. The sarcasm is...
I don't doubt it, doesn't validate the poll though.
Now like BenchZowner everyone has to test and add a vote for every OS listed... ;)
----------------------
@BenchZowner, interesting you...
Nope its going to be massively biased, its only relevant if all the OS's were tested on the same cards. It could still be a W7 x64 problem or not, you can't tell from that poll. You'd need an equal...
My two are fine, but if there was a problem I'd have to report it as Windows 7 64bit as that's what I use exclusively. As I suspect do a lot of the people that voted so not much point.
Really? What's the problem, I'm finding F10 ok. Needed a touch more vcore than F8, but stable enough.
Anyone successfully flashed F10 on the Extreme?
Anyone tried it yet?
What's currently the best F9 bios for the Extreme?
M? P? Q? R?
Still 125 MHz less than 5870 ain't so good. Might even be the crappy cores.

Yeah its using the cpu. Stupid game reverts to the cpu even with a physx card on board.
This worked for me
So I opened my blocks today and one of them has no thermal tape for the vrm's. The thicker tape is missing, does anyone know the specification? Because I can't wait for some to ship from the other...
GPU-Z will report you VDDC temps for you.

Full cover block, then no.
I'm tight and buy the cheapest, buy the one you like the look of tbh.
Both blocks and rad are copper. Use what you like, copper or nickel is fine. Acrylic is fine, doesn't like alcohols, Acetal is tougher.
No, but everybody makes mistakes. I had that block same as CyberDruid/Syrillian and it was a screw that was too long shorting out the card. I never had the issue, because I always fit fibre washers...
I don't go with that, I've been using EK for years and no stand offs. Even difficult cards like the 4870X2 and a year later no problems.
