That is true. Jacob with eVGA confirmed this already. However, he did confirm that nvidia is allowing custom PCB off of this card, so they may do something later on.

Let me clarify. I work at an architecture firm. i do renders at home. The more vram, the safer I am with high-poly models. I can't justify spending $999 on a Titan. I was hoping for a 780 with 5gB...

I was so hoping for a 770GTX with 4GB ram and a 780GTX with 5GB ram.

The ACX is a cooler bringing back the old school days of the ACS3 cooled cards. Basically a in-house aftermarket cooler pre installed on a card.

SO it may actually be worth the cost???

Exactly. funny how that test shows none of the older i7 970/980/980x/990x in it. I am sure all 4 of those versions would be above the FX and AMD does not want that to be seen.

love the fact that if you actually bought this card and mounted it in a case, the stickers on the fan would have gigabyte reading upside down.
