Use MPC-HC and profit. VLC is crappy and broken for the most part.

I call Syndicate and Hi Octane both from Bullfrog! Can't forget the Quest for Glory series from Sierra either, or the Ultima series! Hell there was far too many good games back then! My list would go...
Problem is there is only 1 S-IPS panel manufacturer, LG-Phillips. They aren't cheap to make either apparently, nor do they have the capacity to churn out unlimited amounts of panels for bargain...
afaik LG-Phillips are the only ones making S-IPS panels, so without a doubt it's likely to be one of theirs.
Very interesting read
If the graphs says it does, and they confirm it in the article then by golly it probably does :|
I just use my polished timber desk with teflon feet on my MS Sidewinder X8. Works nice.
I finally got around to finishing the game. While it was fun and enjoyable, I felt they skipped out on the whole immersion feeling Mass Effect gave you. I didn't really learn much new about the...
I wonder what GPU power you are going to use AA with :D I checked the game, and on my 280 it was using 94% GPU cycles with everything at max. It'll probably take a heavy hit with AA like ME1 did!
...
At 2560x1600 the aliasing isn't too bad anyhow, additional AA would be nice but you can live without it.
The game is pretty fun overall, i've mastered planet scanning after a few hours of playing...
Dell 3008WFP scaler works great, and input lag is very minimal at best. I've never really noticed it personally.
Funny story. When one of my mates come over, we grab both my X360 controllers and have a few games of the original Metal Slug on my PC. It's fun beyond comprehension! 2 player co-op is simply awesome...
Most of the newer Dell monitors support DP in! I know I've got it on my Dell 3008, and it'll be nice to try using when I get an Nvidia card with DP as output. One thing I did notice in the...
This shouldn't be posted on a forum period. If people know about it then they know about it, if they don't then they don't. It should stay that way.
The soul of pc gaming died a long time ago, but the gaming itself is still alive and kicking ;)
You're probably right, it definitely would. A 24" TN panel is already very obvious with viewing angle.
When I went from a 24" TN to a 30" S-IPS the difference is night and day, on a 30" IPS the...
I believe the problem is there are no manufacturers of them. 30" 2560x1600 S-IPS panels are primarily manufactured by LG-Phillips. They also manufacture the only 27" 2560x1440 H-IPS panel, used by...
Games are all about cliche phrases in this day and age you should know that :D It looks good though, I'm looking forward to it. Hasn't been many good games out in a while, all just so/so stuff. I can...
Well if you only need 1M reading distance, then a TV is fine. If you do a lot of reading/web browsing/etc on the monitor too then a TV is probably the wrong way to go. I've got a Dell 3008WFP, 30"...
No you aren't reading it right. It's saying it will use DMI v2.0 for X68 -> ICH11 link instead of DMI v1.0. It still uses QPI for CPU <-> IOH link.
Palit or POV are both pretty decent to deal with. No need to buy EVGA, etc cards if you plan on overclocking them yourself anyway. EVGA/XFX/etc are nice for pre-overclocked hardware, but if you flash...
Thing is, Normal was around the same difficulty as Nightmare is now at v1.0 of the game. Then BW patched it, and made it ridiculously easy. I'm personally sick of all the dumbing down games get for...
That's pretty horrible luck with your 280s, my 280 I bought a few weeks after release is still going strong overclocked. I guess it's probably around 18-19 months old now. It's always run extremely...
Nightmare is still ridiculously easy unfortunately. There is a couple of mods for harder nightmare difficulty available though, if you search through: http://social.bioware.com/browse_bw_projects.php
I love my monitors Adobe sRGB mode, the gamma and colours are nearly perfect. Dell monitors require colour calibration though none the less, and it makes the colours look really nice. You can pick up...

Pretty lackluster DLC, is about 1-1.5hrs long all up. Retail release of it is sometime in February. You get...
