Just 7xxx series rebranded for OEM's
Performance was probably hampered because Intel was screwing with the compiler which would cripple performance on non Intel chip

AMD dumped it's fabs becaused it cost too much. The New York fab cost 4 billion itself.
Glofo fabs are worth 10 billion plus, so I doubt Nvidia could finance a deal to buy Glofo plus finance the...

Dual processer overclocking?
That was the one of main points of FX Series
The FX Series
The ASUS L1N64-SLI WS was a dual processor board.
One is an Acer AL2216W the other is Samsung T220HD, I'm pretty sure the Samsung is TN.
This has been going on for about a year now and for the longest time I couldn't see much difference in quality.
That was until I got the idea instead of use of using my main monitor an Acer 22" I...
Is this going to start be a "monthly thing" like the AMD cheats?
If it is can we give it a rest for awhile, for like 3 months or so.

x8xx series with only one CF tab?
I don't think so
When the cards are that close usually you have force air in between, especially if you're running them overclocked.
Otherwise you're pulling heat off the back of the other card.

Have you done the firmware update

Okay I got it.
Along as there is no(or can disable) the Hydra chip on the mobo.
Four 3200 sp cards would be interesting:shocked:
I was thinking the same
Unforturnatly no.Even with Hydra DirectX limited to 4 GPUs only(not cards).
Load balancing is why they went with 32 (4x8)lanes on Hydra.
They don't have to fill the lanes, but they have enough bandwidth if one card get 100% of the frame
It doesn't break up the frame...
Hydra is wired for 32 lanes and your only rendering a sinlge frame across multiple GPU's
Just because the CPU is limited 16 lanes doesn't mean the board is too.
With Lynnfield you'll have 16 lanes...
You would have sneak into Dreamworks and Pixar to find how well Larrabee is working.
Think more renderfarm then gaming.
