I can't believe this thread is still alive. My RF rig is now an auxiliary rig. Apart from the LCD poster (which died) I have still not had any problems with it whatsoever after all these years.

Awesome thread deserves a bump.
After much faithful service, my LCD poster decided to get stuck at random states for no apparent reason (various boot INIT stages or the clock for example), effectively rendering it useless.
Drool worthy build there.
Get well soon.
Good job on the review, loved the photos. Looks like ASUS is set to take the 1156 crown.
They're in: Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\STALKER-STCS
Misleading title ftw!
Too early to tell to be honest. Asus and gigabyte are always safe bets. DFI, foxconn and MSI are somewhat based on luck as to whether they produce a good board.
That makes sense, thanks.
While browsing ebuyer's selection of video cards I noticed something quite strange:
Inno3D GTX285 OC Edition: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/158515
Inno3D GTX285:...
Better scores in everest memory benchmark. Apart from that? Not much.
Very nice! (read with borat accent) :D
Two great games. Leagues better than all the generic console favoring spraynpray crapshooters that litter the gaming world. Definitely looking forward to Stalker: CoP.
Alright, thanks. :)
So if I understand correctly the only way to safely remove the ROG logo is with the heatsink removed from the motherboard? My UD3P's NB plate came off with just a screw driver because it only uses...
Has anyone tried removing the ROG logo from the stock SB heatsink? Is it even possible? It looks like it's severely hindering the SB's heat dissipation.
What's the highest stable frequency you could get with 1.2v vcore under load?
Breaking news or so it seems. Somebody got SLI working on his maximus formula. Read about it here.
Thanks again Ghostleader. I think I'll go for a Sapphire Vapor-X 4890. I figured I could always use my 8800GT for physx should the need arise. I can't find the toxic/atomic versions in stock...
Ordering some improved cooling for my NB now (thanks Ghostleader). I decided to upgrade my graphics card too. Now I can't decide between the 4890 and GTX 275 (it's driving me nuts). I game at...
I'm also thinking about getting a Q9650 soon. They seem to be sold out everywhere. Seems to be a common trend with Intel CPUs, they start out with average overclockability, then they reach a "golden"...
Well since a stuck sensor is grounds for an RMA? You could RMA and maybe receive a better one?
1.24v VTT is not that high. Did you try increasing VTT further to see if it lets you use a lower vcore?
That's all ancient history now.
Besides if you boycott asus and gigabyte you'll be left with the likes of MSI, DFI and Foxconn and EVGA which have much worse problems but less well known...
