There is a way - a new BIOS Chip for 12€.
@ Alex
What NB voltage option?
sjohnson you are right. I used the L2.42B Beta BIOS from AsRock. not the BIOS provided by Ket.

Try here ;)
It is not about the price, it is about the possibility. And also for the people who have a 880G like me and want the features of the 890GX BIOS.
so long
I checked "Program All Blocks", "destroy CMOS Checksum" and "do not check ROM ID"
No, no instability. Works fine so far!
Worked fine the way I did it (I used the 2.42B and the AsRock flash tool for windows). It's still recognized as a 880G Chip though in CPU-Z, but not in Everest. The HD4250 is still the same it didn't...
HP will build some in their PCs afaik
That's because they're not on the market. Mine will be from hong kong.
On ebay. But I contacted two other guys who bought it before and they didn't have any luck :(
I hope mine can do it!
Heard from an other guy that he couldn't make his 960T to a 6-core ... wit a biostar 890GX HD mainboard ... :-/
So what is that file on megaupload now? A modified BIOS?
My 960T is arriving next week. Hope that ting goes as well as this one. Don't you want to do any prime95 or linx?
cheers

sticky?! ...! :)
Mine is on it's way :)
Nice results, C-N!
I am running prime custom right now @ 4000Mhz, 1024k, 8k, 10k passed, 896k just started. Man, i love this board but I also hate it, took me the whole day to figure out the right...
Yeah I know, was kinda lazy to do that at 1 am ^^ But it shows the correct results, so who cares ^^

But it took me the same voltage to get it stable at 3,8Ghz on the UT P35. I hope I get those 4000Mhz stable!
Here's a quite bad Q9550 .. but it's stable :D
