Both IntelBurnTest and LinX are using Intel Linpack.
I don't know anything about Sandy Bridge architecture not "liking" a particular program.
The program was created to save time on CPU stability testing while at the same time being more accurate in doing so than the traditional ways (e.g. Prime95).
It was not meant to be run for an...

Glad you figured out what was causing Linpack to fail ;)
The "Auto" mode goes by what Intel's Linpack decides to do. From what you describe, it sounds like it's defaulting to loading up threads only up to the number of physical cores.
It's not frozen....
Hopefully this update helps address issues and concerns raised by you guys. Haven't had time to maintain the program until now. I appreciate the support and encouragement that you guys have given me...

That's basically the idea, yes.
It loads fine for me. In case it doesn't, I've included it in the ZIP file.

Off-topic: Why So Serious?
On-topic: That's messed up! You should call and complain to UPS about this. Also, why did you blacken out your location when it's in your profile? Wouldn't it be more...
AMD/ATI ftw! Back on the top of the hill!
I did it to leave room for Windows in order to prevent paging due to background processes trying to run (which you don't want).
Why yes. If you guys are trying out Xtreme Stress Mode, you need to let IntelBurnTest run by itself and not touch your computer until it's finished running :) It basically squeezes the most resources...
Most 4850's do not have volterra.
Can you look on the card? Look for chips labeled "volterra", like this:

Do you see them on your card?
