Yes sorry typo or brain out of gear.
The latest BIOS's for the 890 chipsets are Bulldozer BIOS's I doubt if there will be any others before Bulldozer is released.
2301? where from Skull and which board?
It's a pointless slagging off a guy who probably has no influence over ASUS policy on BIOS support, in the past he has helped a lot of people in spite of serious personal problems when most guys...
Seth and Skull I've emailed the BIOS let me know if you get it OK or not.
The 2002 BIOS is a custom BIOS that ASUS did to fix a graphics error in Win 7, it is based on the 1902 BIOS. If you want to try it email me at tonyb56@o2.co.uk and I'll send it to you.
I think this forum has died since the Formula V came out.
It's OrochiPI 0.0.7.4-1, playing with it at the moment seems quite good and it's stable, they've removed the CPB mode so it can't be disabled.
I'm not using it I'm just curious, some guys seem to be using it with X6's. If it is not meant to be used why make it available on the downloads, if some people have pre-release bulldozer chips to...
Has anyone experienced any problems with X6 CPU's or bricked one with BIOS 3012?
Wasn't the last update 11/4/2011? that's earlier this month.
I had no intention of sparking off an argument I just asked the guy what was bingo13's fault, I doubt very much that he's the head man at ASUS or that he decides the policy for the support, I think...
In what way is it Bingo13's fault?
There should be an updated Bulldozer test BIOS shortly ver.3014.
The 1902 BIOS just adds support for the Phenom IIX2 570(HDZ570WFK2DGM),3.5GHz,512KB,rev.C3,80W,SocketAM3.
I've been using 1902 for several days now can't really find anything different from 1304 to be honest, maybe someone else has.
Strange someone seems to have a 1902 BIOS ver. for the Crosshair IV Formula.
Screen shot here.

I personally found 3012 not as stable with overclocking Dave and I had the strange business with sata 1 and 5 swapped around and only the boot drive showing. Neo the address bits are for the channel...
Strange they don't appear to have done a test BIOS for the Crosshair extreme.
I had problems running 2000mhz ram (previously tried and tested in this board), above 1600mhz it became unstable resulting in a failure to boot at 2000mhz no matter what settings or voltage, I also...
Yes you can flash back.
I don't understand Asus's logic they have posted a beta BIOS for a chip that isn't released for another 3months and said don't download it it is a test BIOS, then why put it on there in the first...
CPB mode appears to be a core performance boost, it throttles the multi and voltage of idle cores on X6 CPU's, it drops the cores to 800mhz and lower voltage a sort of power saving feature I suppose,...
It's probably to update the CPU support for the 975BE, anyway thanks for the heads up I'll try it later.
I suppose all the BIOS's will need updating now for the Phenom 975BE.
