Thats just a CPUID, check the support list from both gigabyte and AMD. The board is not listed as supporting 125W Phenoms. You kill either the board or the chip n its entirely your problem.

I've talked to their engineers. They aren't supported officially.

If you spend a bit of time tweaking you can get at least 200Mhz out of almost all Phenom chips. It'll be great if AMD actually supports this officially.

I have no problems with RAM timings being set manually. The board boots with either SPD or manually set timings with my crucials right.
The problem is when I change the vdimm in the BIOS the board...

So I changed to my Gskill RAM thinkin it was RAM timings..no boot.
Put the Crucials back in. Boards boots, yay! I change one...

Sadly us aussies are stuck with Gigabyte-Asus. My Gigabyte 790FX-DS5 goes up to 285HTT. TBH you don't need to clock HTT cept to fine tune mem/nb clocks

Well hopefully the SB750 will help with the htt clocking as I think thats the biggest problem when it comes to boards booting.

I can confirm my 3.2+ ss are just bench stable, but I'm not fussed...
