Not too sure about that, it might be possible to disable 2 cores and try to install that way but Ive only seen this option available on evga 680i board.

the xms2 dominators are promos I think. If you plan on taking your cpu higher, rams might give you trouble.

This is a nice stable board, but then I just use it for gaming and such not super pi. It does seem however that higher fsb requires lots of NB volts that taps into so called unsafe levels.

Throttling is at 85C, you're far from that so no need to worry.

Since you already have the SLI cards, why not add better cooling and get some more speed by uping the vcore? It would help with some games you may play. I'm sure you can take some gaming time out...

I also fixed my problem last night. QX6700 and DFI rd600 board compatibility problem. Switched out to E6600 and works fine.
