Thanks for the post Final8ty, I really enjoyed sniper elite v2.
I really hope v3 is fun to play and will be as graphically beautiful as they're implying in the article.
Haswell is a huge disappointment for me, i don't want to upgrade my rock solid 2500k@4.7ghz for a 4770k that may not reach the same speed without delidding and/or watercooling. I remember someone...
Maybe it'll be a extra core, imagine a 4771k with 5 cores and 10 threads. that would be cool.
I can't wait for these 4k tv's and monitors, then i can have the best of both worlds (bigger screen and nice pixel density)
i wish that 50" 4k Seiki did 60hz.
Who would buy a 7970Ghz when there's plenty of regular 7970's still available for $350-380? It also makes little sense upgrading from 670gtx or 680 to a 770, you would be better off getting another...
If Amd's future products are close in performance compared to their competition, then why couldn't they use the fact that their tech is use in the next gen consoles to help sell and advertise their...
Either way it's good news for Amd and enthusiasts and will hopefully bring better perfoming console ports for pc.
Hopefully Steamroller doesn't disappoint. I really hope Amd pulls out of their...
If these 8 series Amd cards launch at 1.2Ghz then these will be some seriously fast gpu's. Also if these speeds are correct, does this mean tsmc's 28nm process is much more refined? and will they...
That's why we need amd to fix their drivers and to stay on the ball. I really wanted a 7970 but seeing and hearing all the problems turned me off.
I just want 1 powerful card now, and maybe...
Titan was supposed to be 6 series high end but well you know what happened...$$$
I said around 20%, hey i'm just trying to stay positive. There is very little reason for me to upgrade as my 2500k is still very fast for my games and apps, i just want a better platform as a whole...
The 8800 ultra was around $800, there was never gaming single gpu cards for $1000 until recently. Dual gpu cards don't count as it's basically like buying 2 cards and you're getting 2 gpu's.
Wish there was more competition in gpu's and cpu's. Maybe intel should start making graphics cards lol.
Maybe it's too early to tell but in those cpuz shots it looks like intel is limiting the multipliers if you want to use the fsb multi's. This is really looking sad. I don't need to upgrade for more...
ivy was around 10% faster than sb, so i'm guessing haswell will be roughly around 15% to 20% faster than sb.
Maybe once the 4K monitors drop, we'll get some super awesome powerful gpu's.
Umm haswell is around 20% over sandy, so i doubt that SteamRoller is gonna be that fast. Don't get me wrong i would love for that to happen, i would build a new Amd rig asap.
I think a lot of people would rather wait for a better option then to spend $1k on a gpu, even though it's an awesome gpu. Now they're saying gtx 780 aka titan lite will be around $599.
Intel's progress is not slow, they purposely cut features and leave things out just to make a little extra money. They could make make a overclockable i3 model but no they decide lets force everyone...
I don't see why Amd couldn't make their own large single gpu similar to Titan. I would love a card like that but reasonably priced...
So if i were to upgrade to haswell from a 2500k, i would be looking at around 20% performance gain?
I don't get it. If Amd fixes their drivers and xfire, why would you not just buy 2 7970's or 7950's?
Intel's mainstream platform is also severely gimped. Also Amd is slowly coming back with better performance, and they compete fairly well in multi threaded apps.
Just because something is good...
Year after year intel releases the same old expensive platform, with barely anything new or interesting. The idea of buying into another rehashed skt 2011 just to get a better platform and two more...
