It seems that those big industrial refrigerant sellers cant be bothered when someone asks for rather small amount to buy. Same thing here as well.

It can be replaced with basic soldering iron. Been there done that.. several times. It might be helpful to find what caused that failure, because mosfets don't burst in flames often without reason...

IMO linear regulation is terrible waste of power here :(

That is not hard to machine at all with cnc milling machine. I would try with 2-flute 3mm endmill, 10000rpm, slow feed and Z -0.5 ... -0.8mm / pass and LOTS of coolant. It will take some time but at...

For me it doesn't matter very much, it is just better if you store with gasses in for a while so you can see if there is minor leak(s) which will cause failure later :)
