I'd like to know this as well.

I'd like to know this as well.
It's not a new pitch. Same message I have shared at a number of online computer enthusiast hangouts that I have hanged out over the years.
Blame Gigabyte marketing for my valid complaint. IMO...
Nice.
Is that the Force?
The S3 can fit 2x240mm radiators depending on thickness.
I'd rather go push/pull with 1xMonsta 240 then going with 2xslimmer 240 rads in the S3. More air power on single radiator and easier for...
That is not a finished build. There is no tubing or pumps.
Another builder at overclock.net stated that they wanted to put a Monsta 240 in the case but it was too tight.
...
That EVGA case looks very nice.
My water cooled mini ITX build that I am working on.
Delidded 4770k with CLU TIM direct block to die mount. No IHS.
...
So are current Haswell generation Mother board builders just burning up VRM parts clearing stock for future Haswell mother boards that will be cheaper to build and have better power support for FivR?...
Getting email directly from Gigabyte specialist at Newegg informing me that Z87X-OC has 8 phases of IR3550 MOSFETS is part of the problem with the UUltra Durable 5 marketing. Not too long ago Ultra...
The VRM on the Z87M OC Formula is better because of the design and parts used and besides that the Asrock also has more usable features that can be used for other tasks besides over clocking with...
I don't agree. The Z87X-OC isn't a value. It lacks high quality audio components, wireless connectivity that many other MB offer in the same price range.
Asrock Z87m OC Formula has better VRM...
Thanks. :D
It's probably fine. If it boots and everything works I don't think there is any problems. The pins on the Z87m OC Formula mb look more heavy duty than the ones on the gigabyte...
Awesome! Good luck team members.
This one looks bent.

That X79-UP4 Rocks 6 phases of IR3550 MOSFET which perform at over 90% power output efficiency at over twice the range of the IR3553 MOSFET that is on the Z87X-OC. X79-UP4 isn't even a "flagship" OC...
Any word of a mATX version of this board with only 2 PCI 3.0 slots for Xfire/SLI and 8 phases with IR3550 parts?
I'd jump on it.
Sounds awesome to me.
Are all the newest batches working this good?
Great review and tons of good information. Much appreciated.
Do you know anything about the VRM part K0387 3A3 RA34 that is part of the power for the Memory and PCH?
I thought he was at 5GHZ. My 32M score for 5GHZ with 2400mhz CL 9-11-11-31-193-2T is 6:22.911 seconds. I thought that for memory at such tight timings he would have a much better score than me. ...
Nice yet 32m performance seems less than I expected for speeds and tight timings. Possible throttling?
I hear ya but I'm still dissatisfied with the lesser VRM that is on the OC.
Also I would rather have the better part... get what I thought I was paying for. I don't want anybody to make the...
No story. Just sharing the truth. The board is strong but I could have spent less money and got a UD4H that has double the number of same IR3553M VRM parts. UD4H has 16 phases.
I thought your were talking about that other guy. :D
No theories. Just what I found out about the VRM parts that is disappointing.
Tweaking and dreaming of IR550 VRM powa for my 4770k.
So close to being where I would like to be with my Z87X-OC.
Ambient Temp water cooling.

Double post. sorry.
I'm not a pro over clocker but i did spend money on a mother board that I thought had "OC" level VRM pars. It's only 8 phses for the CPU and when I found out Gigabyte used the same cheaper parts and...
