Nice results :)
But your SPi 1M is a bit slow....
I did a 9.531s run @ 4750MHz yesterday click and that is'nt fully tweaked yet...

Great CPU's loc.o :)
Are you going to do a LN2 run with them?
The powercircuit is not crappy at all...
The only reason it's dying is because we run more than 2v through a card that has a stock vcore of 1,25v and we combine this with 100% OC's on these...

100% "OC" on the vcore
Nice work Zakelwe :)
The card is a lot of fun to bench. It can take a lot of voltage, scales nicely with cold and overclocks pretty good :)
...
Great score Extera :)
Congrats Rol-co!
Very nice score :D , too bad that CPU has a terrible coldbug
Very nice results :)
Do you know if the CPU has a FSB wall? I'm getting a E8500 next week and I'm wondering if it's usefull to run it with LN2 :D So I'm kinda curious if these CPU's go up to...
Cedar Mill 533MHz FSB works on this board as long as you don't touch any of the memorysettings (including dividers) :)
So it's quite funny to test a $30 Celeron together with a $250+ mobo :D

The thermal compound they used is just the usual Asus stuff. The very hard, grey compound.
It's not really sticky when never used, but it seems to stick really good to the IHS when it has been...
It's a seperate one.
The whole cooling crap on the board consists of two pieces. One for the NB and SB and one for the mosfets. They are only connected to eachother by a small piece of very sticky...
Transaction boost is setting the boards Performance Level.
Transaction boost isn't always setting directly the same PL with the 3 options it has. The PL differs with the divider you're using. When...
If you want to watercool the NB, than just replace all the crap Asus has put on the board.
The mosfet cooling and the NB/SB cooling are seperate pieces, so it's easy to just remove the NB/SB...
Already tried running in different memslots? might work (still have to test the difference here though)
Looks nice, but I think the radgrill without the heatkiller logo's will look even better :) will give it a cleaner/sleeker look.
Everything else looks great :D, this is going to be another...
Ok, some first tests:
CPU vcore is undervolted by ~0,05v (difference between bios setting and CPUz)
DRAM voltage is overvolted by ~0,1v (difference between bios setting and bios monitoring)
vPLL...
Should be the same since I have put every setting on manual and at the SPD value for both runs. Only changed the first 4 settings.
It might be possible that the board changes some latency's...

I just made some pics, will upload them in a sec.
It was for free ;)
Asus sponsored 10 boards for a Dutch overclocking contest and all the guys posting here (including me) got one of those 10 boards.
The device uses 900W according to the datasheet so the powerusage isn't that bad :)
There's no space for insulating the back of the mobo when you use something like that.
Board on a box works perfect in almost every situation :)
@ bob(nz) and kayl: really nice cascade :)
Do you know where to get it online? looks really usefull to me for the people who bench with LN2. A lot more room for insulation and you can mount a CPU container on the GPU when using this.
Link is not working (even after logging in there)
