I was about to say the same thing about my 1090T. I thought it was the Crosshair III I was using at the time, but it does the same thing in my MSI 890GXM that just bit it about a week ago.

I have had my 890GXM GD-65 for about 5-6 months now, I got a 1090T on it overclocked 3.6ghz and turbo set to 4ghz. Now the voltage is set in the bios to max out at 1.475v where it defaults for turbo...
