I would imagine you could purchase a PCIe Thunderbolt add-in card should you need it someday. Having the ports onboard is a welcome convenience for those users who already know they need it.

zir_blazer,
I'm very interested in having a system as you've described. To make sure I understand, I'll describe in my own words what I want.
* I turn on my computer and it boots to some OS ......
This Gryphon Z87 looks like it was made for me. I love high quality parts and mATX. However, I would like to have the upgraded sound. Hoping for that next time. I'm currently running the V Gene...
Try FileSearchEX ... gives you the classic look and feel ...
I've been happy with the iPad one except for RAM usage ... browsing a simple site with images crashes the browser! I'll gladly take the 1GB RAM the iPad 3 has ... and that they did not mention!
Well, size and convenience have their value ...
Thank for your hard work. It would nice if you could have a summary or conclusion at the end, even if it's just your opinion.
Canon printers are good. I think they make most of HP's part. I just got a HP Color LaserJet CP2025n. It was really made by Canon. Does pretty good for a laser too.
Build a very small computer, mini-itx perhaps, and run a slideshow from the OS.
Hmmm, I'd say something like the Fuji x100 ... I'd want quality ....
Very creative ... how loud is it though? Aren't ants quiet :)
Wow ...
I'm looking forward to MechWarrior Online ... seems there is mechmania this year!
There is panic from people stealing games, but some companies make things nice. I think a company called Stardock makes games that are easy to install and use foregoing the exotic anti-piracy...
Razer DeathAdder here ...
I've been making do with a Q6600 ... I should upgrade too. For me Asus has been my default choice. I tend to get whatever is the most popular on newegg that way you're kinda buying a board that they...
I'm always nervous to try a new OS, don't want to lose all my data trying to get the thing installed. Also with Windows 8 it seems so meh ... like maybe a test OS for Microsoft. I think Windows 7...
FileSearchEX has been cool for me. No matter what tool you use, what is nice is having an SSD these days. I remember way back trying to search on XP and an old IDE drive ... XP would take forever....
The main purpose is to give limited accounts (regular users) the ability to run an .exe from a given directory. But from that same directory remove the ability to write. Then, give the limited user...
I like to image my systems using Ghost. To make things easy this is how I do a fresh install:
Then after Windows 7 is finished installing and I do the drivers, chipset, etc. I set it up for...
Based on the SSD Write Endurance test I would say stick with Intel for now. The 320 most likely for you.l
I hate what vbulletin has done with their 4.x look ... yuck!
