I have 4x2gb of the Mushkin 7-7-7-20 memory. Running at 1600mhz 2t timing all 4 dimms :). I haven't pushed it higher yet b/c I'm waiting to remount everything in my watercooling setup.

now you see what happens when you get old and take 1-2yrs off of reading the forums every day hehe!
:D
I can do that in windows via msconfig, but I can't choose which cpu.
How can I disable a specific core. All I see in bios is ranged in ACC per core with a + or - 12% next to them. No disable.
tried up to 1.525 and no help
immediate error in prime and internet explorer crashes at first opening of web page
sorry guys
as "in tune" the the oc'ing scene as I used to be, I'm way out of it now.
Any tips for how to stabilize or links to read up on it. I tried to set them all to --0.2% as per something I...
once I set MSconfig back to normal ie not limiting to 2 cores it saw 4 cores fine.
Problem is it will immediately error out on core 0 in prime 95. Rest run great even at 3.6ghz on air at +0.1v
...
yeah I might have put 2 cores in msconfig when I first setup windows :O

will try these tips thx :)
Attempting to unlock my X550BE Phenom II cpu on a Gigabyte MA790XT UDP4 motherboard. Updated to F5 bios and set ACC to hybrid and the Auto feature per previous threads/info I recieved.

thx for the reply. The combo is $15 more for the Asus as it's on special at newegg. Wasn't sure if one offered a compelling reason over the other or not. I don't mind spending the $ if it's...
forgot to mention my current main rig is an
i7 920 @3.9ghz and 6gb of Mushkin DDR3 @1800
I have some other sticks of DDR3, mainly micron and samsung chips I could put 4-8gb in the AMD setup.

I made the mistake of coming back to the forum here for a peak, now I have the itch to build something I don't need lol. I used to be pretty hardcore into the OC scene, but the past few years with...
I"m running the multi at the "turbo" setting which is 21, at least for one core. Not sure what the other cores are running at, as I heard the turbo is just core 1?????????? Then I heard later that...
Sorry if this has already been addressed. I'm at work and in a hurry and didn't see anything on this during a quick review of threads.
Anyway, I got my P6T and was delighted to find that it has...
just some FYI for anyone struggling with the MSI X58 Platinum. I had a board that would NEVER run ram >1150mhz out of the box. I think I got a defective one. Tried 6 different sets of memory, so...
I've tried various ram volts and NO help. I've gone up to 1.85v, which is over where I ran it on the P5K3 deluxe.
No help.
I'll be getting some tri channel ram and if it still won't go, I have...
2 different computers with Mushkin 2x2gb sets. One Redline other is the XP, running one set at 850mhz 4-4-4-x, and the other at 950-1000mhz at 5-5-4-x
at 1800mhz I was running it at 1.8v. However, I've tried various ram voltages and it doesn't help get higher ram speed. This ram should run 1333mhz at 1.5v easy
you don't need 3 dimms to post. I have 2x2gb in mine and it posts. In the manual you are asked to use the 2 closest black slots to the cpu for 2 dimms.
I haven't seen a thread based on the X58 MSI platinum motherboard so I thought I'd post my results. Now a big * to the fact I am ram limited in my choice now due to only having 2x2gb of Mushkin DDR3...
I tried auto/ 1.2-1.3 and I think I tried a bit higher, but was afraid to go too far
I got this board about 2-3 weeks ago and really cannot figure it out. I was previously running a P5K3 Deluxe with great success with various kits of memory ie D9 micron at 1800mhz+, B Micron 4gb...
After using AMD exclusively for years, I regretably began using Intel a couple years ago. Plenty good and fast cpus. I always held a soft spot for AMD as the underdog though. I'll still use each,...
