I'm currently trying to find a case for my H100i & ASUS P9X79 WS, but having no luck.

Per the title. All I can see is, the PC-8FI is slightly shorter height-wise, has tool-less features, has a different front bezel and is slightly older. They're very similar cases, to me at least. I'm...
I was looking at this picture from the Switched On Tech Design site, and how they orientated this cooler:

Thanks for the replies. I think I'll need to use one, mainly for bleeding air out of the system.
Do I absolutely need a reservoir? I saw a post where someone built a system using the Apogee Drive II with an Alphacool ST60 and he commented he is skipping the reservoir. Is is possible to setup a...
Thanks for the pictures, I understand completely now. I designed a T-line similar to this, but it seems overly complicated:

...but I prefer the design you have, use the T-cube and put a...
I already sketched out a T-line design, but I think it was wrong. So the T-cube would have fittings left and right, with the tubing, then there would be a fitting on the bottom going to more tubing,...
Made a decision, the custom-loop gets my vote (with very short tubing). I cannot install another H100 knowing that other user's replacements had problems and it might have to be pulled out and...
Yes, that bay-reservoir can take a single DDC, in this case my 35X pump. I don't have it installed, it was placed there for mockup reasons. I have 4 x NoiseBlocker M12-P's, so if I went with a...
I considered water-cooling so I can reach 4.4 GHz (or maybe slightly more) and keep the 3930K cool, without having to worry about my temperatures nearing 80 C under full load; especially in the...
I'm hoping someone can help me decide which is the best cooling option, for my system.
Currently I'm building a system using the Asus P9X79 WS motherboard, and an Intel 3930K CPU. The only other...
Very nice build @Bun-Bun, good to see someone else with an ASUS P9X79 WS + LSI MegaRAID 9265-8i (I've got this same hardware, with dual Corsair Performance Pro 256GB SSDs). I'm trying to find a case...
No I really do mean 550D. Although odd you mention it, I've been thinking I need the 650D and not the 550D.
I've opted for a rear thick 120 radiator instead, that seems to be the best compromise/option. I'm hoping to get the performance of a Corsair H80, at least.
I bought an EK Supreme HF Full Nickel (EN) for my LGA 2011 system about three weeks ago, it came with the correct mounting posts in a separate bag with the two milled grooves on each screw as...
I thought I'd post this to help avoid disaster for any water-cooling builder with this combination of parts.
With the Corsair 550D case and an Asus P9X79 WS motherboard, a 240 radiator will not...
What a coincidence, I was actually looking at this:
http://ep.yimg.com/ca/I/sidewindercomputers_2201_1499668
Actually, I updated the image to reflect that idea, and it does look much better. It means ditching my MCP35x pump for something else, but the layout is much cleaner.

From all the water-cooling research and reading I did, no-one offers a PWM version of the MCP355 - only Swiftech. The PWM does a lot, it allows smooth variations in pump speed allowing quiet pump...
Good. Yes it is a bit spread out, I agree. Maybe I'll look into some Bitspower/EK reservoirs that can hook onto drive cages or fan mounts, to try and elevate the pump & reservoir combination.

I'm planning my first water-cooling build, using:
* Antec P280 (the Corsair 550D is too flimsy for me)
* ASUS P9X79 WS
* EK Supreme HF Nickel + Acetal (EN)
* Black Ice SR1 240
* 2 x Noctua...
Thanks for the advice, for now clear tubing is fine. So you wouldn't use Nuke + Silver kill coil, it's either one?
Two questions:
1) I've decided on 1/2" ID tubing, but what type of tubing should I look for? I'm willing to fork out for Tygon, but do I want the anti-microbial, chemical resistant or other type?...
Does anyone here have an LSI MegaRAID 92xx controller working on an Asus P9X79 Deluxe/Pro/WS board?
I have the Asus P9X79 Deluxe board (only the board, no other components as yet), and I'm...
Is it:
1) Reservoir -> Pump -> CPU block -> Radiator -> ... back to reservoir.
...or:
2) Reservoir -> Pump -> Radiator -> CPU block -> ... back to reservoir.
I thought number 1) was the norm,...
