I had a similar problem, try reinstalling the chipset drivers, they were usually ones to blame for rebooting after shutdown :)

I've been using 30GB core v2 on my Acer 6920G and am very pleased with how fast it is. I'm using a totally vlited vista ult. x64, for university purposes (with WLAN).
