I've had to replace mine on more than one case. I think the plastic is to rigid and becomes brittle over time. A more flexible nylon clip would last longer.

Very nice. I like the drive mount options. I would like a top mount fan option so I could use both bottom slots for more drives.
From Hexus, I agree:
- that that LED fans need to go.
- Air filters everywhere
- a slim ODD bay below the MB, BUT it should have a permanent screw down "blanking" plate that mounts like the...
Exactly. Small fans tend to buzz, whine and/or clog and fail over time.
Make the whole case a passive heat sink, please.
Have you seen this:

Nice case, though I would prefer one that is designed for passive cooling, even if it cost more.
Here's some detail of the cage parts. Drilled holes are indicated with black lines.
To complete project:
Rivets Drilled Out: 4
New Holes Needed: 12
Holes Tapped: 4
Notches Cut: 1
First, the...

This is the interior of the PC-7H

I modified a 3.5 hard drive cage from a 9F to fit in the 7H to add more 3.5 and 2.5 mounts. The modified 9F cage holds 6x 3.5 and 2x 2.5. Pics later.
I have a silver PC-7H. It is a great case...
There is about 30 mm from the inside of the top to the first MB standoff. I don't think there's enough space. 50 mm puts you down into RAM on my MB.
:D
I think that it would require very little modification of the existing cases and bay adapters. Mostly drilling the 4-6 cage mounting holes in a different layout perhaps an adapter plate for the...
It would also be nice if the internal cable routing holes shipped with plastic grommets, like on the A75X.
Can you build your cases with a single style of 3.5" drive mounting cages?
Instead of making slightly different, incompatible drive cages for almost every case and bay converter, how about using...
Good idea. +1
First off, it is a nice case. Well built and a number of good cable routing options.
BUT I would like more hard drive mounting points.
How about:
- Build it with more 3.5 drive slots on the...
I have two mid towers, both Lian Li. One has 6 HD's (3x 3.5, 3x 2.5) and 2 DVD's, the other has 10 HD's (6x 3.5, 4x 2.5) and 2 DVD's
Seems to me that it is a waste of space to make a case as large...
Any news? I saw it at mwave, but it is not clear that it is actually in stock.
Edit: I was able to order it from Newegg a few minutes ago.
Thanks!
I'm having a hard time finding the BP3SATA Hot swap backplane in USA - or anywhere for that matter. Is is still in production? Do you know where I can purchase it?
I think there should be more hard drive mounts. Why so few in a case that big?
Support for mATX.
Slim optical drive up top, to make room for more drives.
And two changes related to the power supply:
- the option of a solid panel where the power supply mounts for those...
Do you have any updates? Do you know which US vendors will carry the PC-7HA and when?
Thank you!
Can you you tell us when the new PC 7H Silver will be available in the US?
The 7HX in black is nice, but I really like the natural finish. Plus it doesn't show scratches.
