Some AX1200's have an issue with coil whine - Corsair knows about it and will address the situation for you if your unit happens to be affected. Not a terribly big deal.
That was right after the Diablotek killed the Brand meter. Had to order new shunt resistors from Singapore or someplace to fix it. Meantime, the old Kill-A-Watt was in fact still working correctly so...
Some units don't have room. It's really a non issue.
The AX1200, as far as I'm concerned, is second only to the ST1500 in terms of 1kW and up units. Both are outstanding units, among the best...
AX1200 only. The Diablotek did the damage, the GX750 was tested months ago, and the Seasonic TFX was done with the Kill-a-Watt.
I'm working on one more with the KAW, and then that'll be it for all...
The numbers in the review haven't been updated - best I can do right now is let folks know what the situation is and how far the Brand was off at the time. Right now, it's hovering at just outside...
Some news - the Brand meter was apparently faulty in the AX1200 review thanks to the exploding Diablotek - the efficiency numbers are all high by about 2%. Can't verify with the KAW meter - it wasn't...
I haven't tested any others, so I can't really say for sure. It looks that way though.
Which is why I posted :p:
Very, very unlikely. This is the same company that asked 80 Plus to downgrade the HX850 and 750 because they only did Gold some of the time. A cherry picking company would have kept the Gold and sent...
From a special shop that only had the one Corsair unit in stock ;)
That 500's a much older and completely different platform. These are usually 100W overrated.
That one's decent but many Huntkey units are below average.
Who's disputing that? I review these things for a living. The Silencer 910 I reviewed got a 10 for performance - I don't hand that score out lightly. I'm just trying to make the point that there are...
I was only using the fans as an example - the capacitors often have shorter lifespans than the fans do. Are those user replaceable too? The fact is, Win-Tact, who makes the Turbocools, rates their...
Put it back in - it's there to make sure airflow goes where it's supposed to. Power supplies will often run hotter without them.
Find me an instance where that number has ever been useful to anyone outside a marketing office. It is very, very common to find that the fans in power supplies have MTBF ratings far below what the...
Not anymore - a lot of the competition has caught up.
Nope.
You'd be surprised. I had FSP send me Everest samples a month apart that were separated by less than twenty units according to the serial number.
Not really. Overcurrent protection is not related to short protection.
All PC P&C units since day one have been made in Taiwan.
XFX gets them from Seasonic. In fact, it's the same...
Good to hear :)
I've been playing with the monster this evening. Watched Fringe with it at my usual TV watching levels. I keep thinking there were trucks driving past or people thumping around...
Scroll down to the "Real 64' Stops" section here: http://www.die-orgelseite.de/kurioses_e.htm
You will find audio samples of both of only two full 64' organ stops on the planet. The Atlantic City...
It kicked mine anyway - I can barely move this morning. Weighs about 170 lbs.
Tuning frequency is right around 11Hz. Even with 120W running to it and the cone barely moving, it made stuff rattle...
Any progress? One is curious.
I did this earlier today: :D
