3 years ago I paid 200EUR for a 1TB drive, with (EU) VAT. That wasn't the cheapest even, but close.
Currently the cheapest is 240EUR.... progress my a**e :)

FFS, SSD companies are beyond Apple a**holeness now. I paid 220$ for a 1TB (960GB) SSD 2 years ago. That same SSD is 350$ today.

There is something called a "Windows tax", and people have the right to ask for the price of a Windows OEM copy be credited to them, if they don't want to use a Windoes OS that comes with the machine.

I need 2TB, but those prices are nothing great.. in Europe the Samsung EVO 2TB, before tax is even cheaper than in the US. So $550+tax will make the MX300 more expensive:)
