Just a general question for Raja (or anyone else with recent experience)...is Asus requiring proof of purchase for motherboard warranty, or is the serial number option still available?

From the pic showing in your link they certainly look to be single-sided. Note the nearly solid row of SMCSMC just above the gold contacts & compare that to any double-sided modules that you have on...
