I tried running a couple of benches with my 2 780 cards... but it seems fps will NOT go above 200 fps... not in games, not in Unigine Heaven 4.0 (even with 1280x720 low quality settings) and not even...
This!
Lots of videos around of how to do it, plus in some cases people gained 25+ degrees.
Should be a lot of fun, make sure to make a video of your delidding :D
Why is the Force version more than double the price of the OC board?
Did you connect the PWM fan header of the Xtreme III directly to the card?
I did and I get CONTINUOUS fanspeed ramping up and down both in idle and load while the temp is fine (below 30C)... what...
If you ask me that's still a pretty good rad... I wouldn't change it unless I absolutely wanted a bigger rad (140mm width)
The first block even looks sloppy to me... too much acrylic used... as if they were too lazy to cut off the excess stuff...
and I didn't even mention the 'frosty' look... blegh
oh and...
the sole reason I bought a 1/4 tap myself... can always 'correct' it that way, but have never needed to do so... I did tap my own 1/4 ports though :)
The PCI-Express power cables sleeving... what did you do to it? I love it!!
That's what I call sleeving... not the all-the-wires-sleeved-individually-crap ;)
@ UlyssesCazuquel why do you have the videocard output to the cpu block output instead of input?
Ah this one's easy...
I have the Rampage IV Formula, and it has the same socket as the Extreme.

Littledevil LD-PC V8 Black.
Just google it, you may never want another case ;)
Nice rig sate200, how close are the black EK backplates to the DIMM slots?
Looks very tight... but I see it's possible :)
I'm afraid not, but I hope so ;)
@tiborrr any pics/sketches yet?
Can't wait :D
^^ This!! :D
How about black powdercoating on the stainless steel?
Powdercoating doesn't cause corrosion, does it? (correct me if I'm wrong)
finally... can't wait to get mine lol... I've always hoped this would happen :)
I know it's XtremeSystems but why a 3rd 480?
I have 2 and everything flies :)
I have a 24" just like you do... 2 should be enough hmmkay?
I'll buy a 2600k that does 5GHz stable @ 1.40v any day... now where do you find that here in NL :D
Nice results Dumo...
the word GTX470 comes to mind...
See my post, number 126
You can use the stock plate on the memory and vrm chips and use the vf3000 @ 5v
That is what I did then and that resulted in very good temps and very little noise :)
I had 2 of the RX480 rads before I sold my previous watercooling setup, and if it was aluminum I guess I could've felt it (because of the weight)
don't worry barfastic, your builds can continue......
Awesome stuff... +1 about the oven technique :)
What's so great about this X58 board compared to others?
I must have missed something...
