another no no for msi k8n neo2 + 3700 EB. i have that combo and it wont post above 230FSB. Got myself some quality OCZ 3200 EL Rev.2 instead.

OCZ EL pc3200 rev.2 platinum, i second that, i ordered myself 2x512 of that memory. Go over to anandtech and check out the the A64 Memory rewrites the rules review, the ocz pWns every other memory...

I find the 6800U to be $75-$50 cheaper than an x800 XT PE. That is also a plus for the nvidia card. This is the toughest decision i have to make so far...

I will be leaving for university in September and i will be buying the Dell XPS equivalent by that time :) , so i am looking for a card that will last me till September with my current set up without...

thanks guys, x800xt-pe it is then. I have found a few good ones on ebay, built by sapphire x800 xt pe for $600. Does that sound good? Any specific make i should be after?

Which one of the two to get? An x800xt PE or a 6800 Ultra Extreme Edition? I plan on running it watercooled with my existing 9800pro waterblock, so thats a plus for the x800xt pe. I prefer better...

the only possible explanation i can think of is that vdimm undervolts even more than vcore. i will just have to wait until my ddr booster arrives. In the meantime, if anyone knows were to get a 3.4...

guys, its OCZ 3700EB, the ram did 270 1:1 with my p4c800-e dlx :). It fails memtest with 235 2.5-4-4.

Failed prime after 10secs :) . Dropeed HTT to 225, still priming, looks more promising now...

kane, have a look at my thread with my results and numbers, i think we have a bich a$$ board. I have 3700EB that did 270 stable with a p4 but now has trouble keeping up at 230. I am using an fx-53....

no, you need the floppy that came with your mobo, and while the 2k set up loads hit f6 if i remember correctly. Then hit S and afterwards select the first selection and then hit S to specify again...

just stay away from msi k8n neo2 platinum version 1.x
